Restaurants and bars
There are plenty of restaurants, bars and shops to keep visitors occupied, and more than enough restaurants to choose from, with many different cuisines ranging from tex-mex, Chinese, Italian and Spanish. There is live music within the bars, but the club scene is low key keeping the resort aimed for families, and those looking to chill.
Glorious sunshine
With sunshine all year round, many British holiday makers are drawn here, including during the winter months, to escape the dreary British winter, in search for some winter sun. June and August is the most popular time to visit with very little rainfall, and temperatures in the high 20s, with an average of nine hours sunshine a day.
For those looking for heat, July and August are the hottest months, although they are the most expensive. April to November is considered Summer, and December to March are winter with temperatures around 19 degrees C, with an average of 14 degrees C. Many hotels do offer heated swimming pools, but sunbathing might be restricted with colder temperatures. It is a good idea to pack an extra layer for these months, as some evenings can get a bit chilly.
Beaches, activities and attractions
Within Costa Teguise, the main attractions include the beach. There are three main beaches, with Playa Las Cucharas being the most popular, especially with windsurfers, and 640 metres in length. Playa Los Charcos is smaller, at 150 metres long, but has fine, white sand and beautiful crystal clear waters to enjoy. However, Playa Bastion is popular with families as it is sheltered from the wind.
Visitors can also enjoy walks along the promenade, taking in the fantastic colours of the sea, and watching windsurfers in action taking on the waves. Costa Teguise caters for windsurfers, with windsufring schools, bars and surf clothes shops. There are also a variety of watersports here, as well as a Waterpark. A golf course is also close by for golfing enthusiasts. Many tours operate from the resort going to places such as Teguise for the Sunday markets, as well as to Timanfaya.
